I am listing my Jeep again due to the accepted high offer bidder not having sufficient funds to pay. I am selling my 1999 Jeep TJ. I list Sport and Sahara, because the interior is from a newer Sahara and the VIN shows as Sport. Nice clean Jeep , a lot of new parts. All gauges work ( see gas gauge description below). New Front and rear rotors, pads and calipers, New Blower motor, new axle joints, new muffler and tail pipe, new 4×4 linkage, New floor just bolted in on driver side Floor was good just did not need to be welded in at this point), 2 new steel fenders painted ready to be installed, new alternator and belts, new windshield and new wipers, new updated gas cap, updated lights and a recent oil change and filter. 33″ Tires like new. Very very clean inside, no carpets all removed. Engine very strong, clean shifting rare and hard to find automatic. 3″ lift, 1″ body lift. Top light bar is super bright. Nice upgraded radio. Upgraded the color to orange, original color was blue.Things to mention: No physical title, it shows as rebuilt or rebuildable brand , I bought it without one. In Vermont you do not need a title for an older model car to insure and register ( see below info from VT DMV about getting a title for your state for this Jeep). There is the Vin # on the dash ( official 1999 Jeep TJ) and then there is a vin # plate on the tub ( matches a 1998 TJ) that does not match the dashboard VIN. The Jeep has been rebuilt over the past 20 something years, a lot of new parts. Driver seat needs foam bolster left side ( $150 cost to repair), AC was removed, ABS brakes are not hooked up, emergency brake cable not hooked up, key does not lock doors or glove box, sometimes you need to giggle the key to turn the key in the ignition, or just take the key out and flip it over, and that does the trick. Sometimes when you start it a message comes on that says “No Bus” and the gauges don’t work. Just turn the car off and restart and the message will go away and all gauges work, there are no engine lights on . The gas gauge when the jeep is full works, when it gets down a few gallons it will show empty , passenger side door handle does not open door from outside, can open from inside. windshield wiper on back window does not work, small flood lights installed on lower window are not hooked up yet, all wiring is there. There are 4 body surface rust areas I point out. Light surface rust on bottom and a squeak here or there as you would expect from a 1999 Jeep, frame and tub solid. I am sure there are other cosmetic things I have forgotten to list, but I think I covered most everything, If I think of anything else I will update the listing. .To receive a Title: Vermont issues a registration form of ownership for 15 year old vehicles. Since that is their version of a title, you can obtain this document in your name by paying the registration fee with just a bill of sale, and then present it to your state DMV who will then issue you a legal title in your name, in your state.
