Hello. This is a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport. This car was put together from two different jeeps in the early 2000’s. Please note that New York State issued a NY VIN number to the vehicle of NY-56817. This is a normal title and can be transferred, sold, etc no differently than any other vehicle.
This is a 5-speed manual transmission jeep. The jeep was lifted 4 inches and a Woody shaft (-products/products/tj-rear-drive-shaft-cv) was installed between the transfer case and the pinion. The tires were enlarged to what is on them now. The D35C and D30 gearing is original. The entire brake system is new (brand new brake booster, master cylinder, brake lines, shoes and springs, pads), the engine is SOLID and has good power and compression. I added a VDP overhead soundbar and a cool double DIN radio with on-board navigation and apple music, android auto etc. A little fancy for a jeep but I like it.
This car is a lot of fun and gets a lot of love from people in public! I’m sorry to sell it but I’ve owned it for long enough and I want to get a motorcycle, my wife says I can’t have two hobby vehicles at the house. Same old story I guess!
If you like working on cars, this is a great car to work on. Everything is wide open and my favorite part of owning it is that I can get under there on my creeper without lifting it. I have taken this camping many times with my son and there’s no feeling like packing the back and taking it out for the weekend. I’ve owned this Jeep for about 10 years.
I’m selling this AS-IS WHERE-IS. The car runs, has a valid title and registration and safety inspection. I have done my best to keep this in good shape and running OK. The car is located on Long Island (Suffolk County) and can be picked up IF You know how to drive manual! Or a better idea would be to trailer or flatbed it to your location, no fuss no muss.
