1st owner in PA. Then moved to Texas. Then bought from an enthusiast in Ohio who drove it from Texas to Ohio. I flew to Dayton OH, and drove it back to Rhode Island.
I had it professionally repainted ($7000 value) since the clear coat was going under the Texas sun. No big rot or rust on the usual places – like rocker and tire wells. There is rusty area on the passenger side floor where the water pools after the rain – many folks who are familiar with this design flaw knows how to fix it – it involves opening the cawl and closing the air inlet near the heater core.
Clean title and clean service records. Well maintained. Not a daily driver – only on summer and weekend driving. Even though it is capable of extreme off-roading, but have not taken off road since I owned it since March of 2022.
Everything works. Including the cruise control. New JVC CD, Sirius XM and Bluetooth audio player with Amazon Alexa built-in. Except slow motor/actuator on the power window and wiper, everything works. Still works, but slow. Probably could use new motors. The AC still works, but needs recharging. Regular oil change and maintenance – at least once a year in the spring for regular check up and take care of items that need to be addressed.
Added double powder coated rock slider to ease the climibing into the cab.
