1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Restomod in Excellent condition
1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer in extremely good condition. Absolutely no rust. Very nice deep blue paint and the woodgrain is hand painted and is NOT a decal. This Jeep gets thumbs up all the time. Very unique, beautiful, great condition classic Grand Wagoneer.

Drive Train from a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe. It is a 5.3 LS based motor with a 4L60E auto transmission and the Tahoe transfer case. The installation is very clean and professional. All gauges work properly and look like stock Grand Wagoneer. The lever in front of the drivers seat to engage 4 wheel drive is still there and could be hooked back up to retain that factory look. I chose to put a floor shifter in as it was easier for me to engage 4X4. Other than that, the interior has a factory “Look” but has been updated. The over head console works, all gauges work, cruise control does not work. Power windows all work including the rear.

With the 4 speed trans with overdrive, the stock gears were too high, so I swapped them out with Yukon gears ring and pinion with a 3.73:1 ratio. That seems to be about perfect. Good acceleration, comfortable on the highway, no gear hunting. I did not, however, change the speedometer drive gear, so 65 indicated is about 55, 75 or so is 65, and 85 indicated is about 75.

The only feature I know of that does not work properly is the cruise control. Everything else works.
A/C Works, heater works, running lights work, dash lights work, blinkers work, headlights (LED) work, brake lights work, horn works, all dash gauges work (Oil pressure, Voltage, Fuel, Temperature). Digital clock works, overhead console compass and temp work.

This thing is just flat out awesome off road. It comes with the wheels/tires in the pictures (Ballistic off road wheels/ Nitto Terra grappler G2 tires 285/60R18) in very good shape. 75-80% tread remaining. It also comes with the Original Grand Wagoneer wheels with Cooper STT Pro tires (32×11.5 15) in excellent shape, maybe 500 miles of use, so 95%+ tread remaining. When I had the gear ratios changed, I also installed ARB air compressor and ARB air lockers front and rear. It also has a 2 gallon storage tank with outlet so you can air your tires back up after the trail ride. I also installed a front sway bar disconnect to really do great off road. My wife and I took this to Ouray Colorado several times and it has done all the trails completely un assisted. Imogene, Yankee Boy, Black bear, it even went up Poughkeesie gulch unassisted and undamaged. Turning radius is fantastic, suspension flex very good.

So why am I Selling it? I’m moving and won’t have room to keep it inside. I currently live on a farm in Kansas and have lots of storage. We’re selling the farm and moving so I’ll have much less storage. If you buy this and come pick it up yourself, you’ll understand what I mean.
